Lift Zone Design Process Introduction
This lift design was designed using data sheets in elevator design theories.
-Building type - Investment downtown
-Population to be served - 3500
-Population handled in 5 minutes time period - 500 (14%)
-Total Height of the building - 496 feet

To handle this amount of population it used 2 of lift systems.
1st lift system (SLOW)
-start from ground floor and stops at every level until 15th floor.

2nd lift system (EXPRESS)
-start from ground floor, no stop until 15th floor and after stops at every floor from 15th to 30th floor.
-start from ground floor, no stop until 15th floor and after stops at every floor from 15th to 30th floor.
In both lift systems speed of the car was got from travel distance. The size of a lift car was calculated by using population have to handle in 5 minutes period and interval between two lift cars.
Based on lift car speed and number of floors to travel, it was got round trip time in each lift system.
According to the round-trip time and interval, it was chosen number of lift cars required for the building for both slow and express lift system.
